Best Practices from Ross Alumni Clubs

Here, the Office of Alumni Relations aims to highlight best practices in alumni club programming, leadership, and organization from Michigan Ross alumni clubs around the globe. Every club is different, and our alumni leaders can often learn the most from peer clubs’ innovation and successful practices. Thank you to the Ross club leaders who have contributed their ideas and materials to this page.

If you’d like to share an alumni club event, officer role, organizational structure/document, or leadership practice that has worked well for your alumni club with fellow club leaders here, please email MiRossAlumniClubs@umich.edu.

The Ross Development and Alumni Relations Office’s State of the Clubs Report utilizes information from the annual reports of participating alumni clubs, as well as data the Alumni Relations team collects throughout the year, to present a baseline portrait of the Ross alumni clubs’ fiscal year performance. Include are data on clubs’ leadership, volunteer recruitment tactics, operations, and club events, including brief descriptions of the year’s most salient club activities. Throughout the report, we leverage club leaders’ thoughtful Annual Report responses in “In Their Own Words,” culminating in officer-shared quotations of the year’s domestic and international club highlights, challenges, and successes.
