National Tax Association Annual Conference
November 18 - 21, 2020
The regular OTPR Family and Friends Dinner did not take place but that did not stop us from having an evening gathering. In addition to recognizing promotions and awards, we played OTPR Jeopardy. Finally, we separated into subject breakout rooms where our alumni (and current faculty) spent time answering questions and providing mentoring to our current PhD students.
The 113th Annual Conference of the National Tax Association was different than any other year. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was virtual. More than 20 of our PhD students attended and they were able to access all the sessions because they were recorded. This was an added benefit for those attending from different time zones.

National Tax Association Annual Conference
November 21 - 23, 2019
The 112th Annual Conference of the National Tax Association was held in Tampa, Florida on November 21-23, 2019. One of the highlights of the conference was a keynote by our own director, Joel Slemrod. His topic was a project he has been working on for the last six years--his soon-to-be-published (April 6, 2021) book with Michael Keen of the International Monetary Fund -- Rebellions, Rascals and Revenue: Tax Follies and Wisdom through the Ages.
Each year the annual OTPR Family and Friends Dinner is an event we all look forward to. From the photos below, it is easy to see the connections that were being made.
